Revere’s Annual Fall Festival was last Saturday at The Yard in Beachmont Square. This eventwas a great opportunity for the community to gather at Suffolk Downs which now includes a new apartment building, brewery, and open outdoor space. Everyone got to enjoy live music, an expanded beer garden, a variety of dishes from some of Boston’s best food trucks, and over 50 vendors offering locally made goods. It was fun for all ages! Since last year, culinary arts students from Northeast Metro Tech have been showing off their talents in the RevereTV kitchen studio. A new school year has begun and the students have started Season 3 of “Northeast Cooks.” In episode 1, watch these talented young chefs demonstrate how to make a tossed pasta with roasted peppers, white beans and spinach. October is Fire Safety Month. This month’s “In the Loop” series is highlighting some very helpful safety tips in partnership with the Revere Fire Department. It starts with knowing your risks and being prepared before, during, and after a fire. Each week during the month of October, RevereTV will be posting videos with new fire safety tips. These videos will be spoken in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Italian. This week is all about how to stay prepared, testing your smoke alarms, and knowing your escape plans. Learn about fire safety tips in your own home by watching “In The Loop” on RevereTV and YouTube. You can also check out the Revere Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Week Open House this Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the Central Fire Station on Broadway.

Part of October is also Hispanic Heritage Month! The City of Revere celebrated Hispanic Heritage in Revere with an open event at the American Legion at McMakin Veterans Memorial Park. Many city officials spoke, including Mayor Keefe, and attendees got to enjoy dancing and singing as entertainment.
